The Toyota Regius is an evolution of the HiAce/Granvia, available as 2.7L (petrol) or 3.0L (turbo diesel) versions.
One of the most attractive features of this model for camper conversion is the swivel seats - the driver and passenger seat can swivel to the rear, making excellent use of the space available. (Note that on some Regius' only the passenger seat swivels - check before you buy a conversion to be sure you are getting what you expect).
Being a Toyota (and based on the popular HiAce) maintenance and parts are not an issue (many of the parts are shared with Lexus cars, which are also a Toyota brand.
